Dressing Walls

Three-dimensional sculptures to order

Whereas in the past a home’s interior design was guided by principles that were purely functional, today much emphasis is placed on “dressing” the various spaces. One of the highlights of modern house dressing consist of three dimensional laser cut wall sculptures made of wood or metal, artistically screen or hand painted in colors and shades that complement the chosen space. Joy Art, a boutique gallery that manufactures works of art, has taken the concept of wall sculptures one step further, by providing a different artist in turn with a platform from which to design a wall sculpture that they then recreate in limited editions. They adapt these wall sculptures and make them suitable for display on concrete as well as plaster walls, so as to conform accurately to their clients’ demands and taste. They have found that some people will fall in love with one of the creations on exhibit in the gallery, while others will ask for a bespoke work of art and the option to control its motifs, colors and size.

Upgrading Space in the Home

Any wall adorned with one of Joy Art’s unique three-dimensional wall sculptures makes an instant impression. The sculptures are adaptable to a large variety of styles, from the naïve to high-end classical. While the brightly colored wall sculptures can provide a decorative element in the design of a children’s room, the classic wall sculptures have the presence necessary to provide an extra, unique, contemporary upgrade to the design of spaces such as living rooms or entrance halls.

Uber Trendy

Wall dressing has become one of the leading design trends of recent years. Paint and wallpaper manufacturers have been investing heavily in the development of exciting new products and colors as a decorative substitute for the traditional white wall; the wall sculpture has become one such trend. Today, many architects and interior designers are choosing wall sculptures as an element for providing a wall with interest, richness of design and state of the art fashion appeal.
